Terms of sale

Last updated: September 26, 2026

NotchBar is made and sold by one person, not a company. These terms say plainly what you get, what you may do with it, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Buying NotchBar means you accept what is written here. If any of it doesn’t work for you, don’t buy it — or use the refund policy, which is 7 days, no questions asked.

1. Who you are buying from

NotchBar is made and sold by Arnav Sawant, an individual based in India. There is no company behind it, and these terms don’t pretend otherwise.

Payment is handled by Dodo Payments, which acts as Merchant of Record. That means Dodo is the seller on record for the transaction, and handles payment processing, sales tax and your invoice. Your card statement will show Dodo, not my name.

Contact for anything about your purchase or the app: arnavsawant.ai@gmail.com.

2. What the licence covers

You are buying a personal licence to use NotchBar. One licence is for one person, and works on 1 PC at a time.

Activations are yours to manage. If you reinstall Windows, replace a machine, or simply run out of slots, open the app’s Control Center → About tab and deactivate the device you no longer use. That frees the slot immediately, so you never have to ask me to reset anything.

You may not redistribute or resell NotchBar, share your licence key, or publish it anywhere. A key that is shared publicly may be revoked, because it is being used by people who did not buy it.

Downloading and buying both need an account: you sign in with Google and give a phone number. See the privacy policy for what is kept and why.

3. Updates

Updates across 1.x versions are included at no extra cost, and the app can install them itself. NotchBar is early software: features may change, be reworked, or be removed if they turn out not to work well.

There is no promised release schedule, and no guarantee that any particular feature will ever ship. Nothing here obliges me to keep developing the app for a set period.

4. Sold as-is, and what I am liable for

NotchBar is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. It is a desktop overlay that talks to Windows APIs on hardware I have never seen, so I can’t promise it will work on every machine, or that it will be free of bugs or interruptions.

Where the law allows it to be limited, my total liability to you for anything connected with NotchBar is capped at the amount you paid for your licence. I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost work, lost data, lost time, lost profit.

Some countries give consumers rights that cannot be signed away. Nothing here is meant to take those away from you.

5. The app is not code-signed yet

NotchBar isn’t code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen shows an “unrecognized publisher” warning on first run, and Smart App Control, if you have it switched on, blocks the app outright with no way to override it for that app.

This is said on the download page before you buy, on purpose. If it turns out you can’t run NotchBar for this reason, that is explicitly covered by the refund policy.

6. Refunds

Full refund within 7 days of purchase, no questions asked. The details, including how to ask, are on the refund policy page.

7. Your data

What the app and this website collect, send, and to whom, is set out in the privacy policy. Most of what NotchBar does never leaves your device.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Consumer-protection rules in your own country may also apply to your purchase, and this clause doesn’t override them.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may change for future purchases — for example when pricing or versions change. The terms that apply to you are the ones published on the day you bought your licence, and the date at the top of this page says when this text last changed.

10. Contact
