Please use an account you actually check. If you ever need help, or there’s a question about a payment, that’s where I’ll reach you. A throwaway account just makes that harder for both of us.

Before you buy

Check Smart App Control first

NotchBar isn’t code-signed yet. If Smart App Control is turned on, Windows blocks unsigned apps outright — there’s no “Run anyway” option, unlike the SmartScreen prompt below.

How to check

  1. Open Windows Security → App & browser control → Smart App Control settings.
  • Off or Evaluation — you’re fine. Only the SmartScreen prompt below applies.
  • On — you can turn it off (recent Windows updates let you turn it back on again later, no reinstall needed), or hold off buying for now.

Installing on Windows

Windows will warn you before this installs. Here’s why, and what to do.

NotchBar isn’t code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen will show an “unrecognized publisher” screen on first run. It’s expected, not a sign anything is wrong.

To proceed

  1. On the blue “Windows protected your PC” screen, click More info.
  2. Click Run anyway.

The file you download is named NotchBar_1.0.0_x64-setup.exe. To check it is exactly what we published, and that nothing was tampered with in transit, compare its SHA-256 against this one:

File: NotchBar_1.0.0_x64-setup.exe
SHA-256: d193fdb8a18de80fd190d7d59a07e9653fc351e95bf3aaed729582fd0e85b524

In PowerShell: Get-FileHash .\NotchBar_1.0.0_x64-setup.exe
